When I saw that Sylvain Reynard was giving us another peek into the life of Julia and Gabriel I was thrilled I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I loved their story from the first word of Gabriel's Inferno until the last word of Gabriel's Redemption. Don't take me wrong, there were some good parts but nothing that would make my heart race as was common with previous books. So if you are huge fan of this series like myself, I suggest to give this book a chance to see for yourself. Maybe you will like it better than I did. But make sure to lower your expectations... Now that filming has come to an end, the movies head into post-production. As with Gabriel’s Inferno and Gabriel’s Rapture , Redemption will also end up as a trilogy of three feature-length films, with the first installment targeted for release later this year.

I may not have loved the plot of ”GABRIEL’S PROMISE”, but I still have so much love for Professor Emerson. He was the first professor that captured my heart and in this latest installment, Gabriel is still madly in love with Julia and completely devoted to his little family. His interactions with Clare are heartwarming. It just felt like the author threw way too many impossible challenges at Gabriel and Julia almost at the same time, and then he may have realized this and tried to resolve some of them without giving a real explanation. I think the health issues and huge career opportunities were enough to carry the story to the end. All the mystery and intrigue involving past enemies and possibly new ones was a bunch of unnecessary drama. Overall the writing as always was stellar, and I even found some of the Dante and Beatrice references interesting.
